Currently competing in the FIM World Superbike Championship
MIE Racing uses modified Honda CBR1000RR-R production vehicles and participates in the World Superbike, the world's most prestigious production bike race.
The modifications to vehicles for the World Superbike Championship begin with the removal of unnecessary items that won't be used in races, such as turn signals, headlight systems, brake light switches, key cylinders, fuel cocks for production cars, and ABS control devices for production cars. They then use world-class parts for brakes, engine output, weight reduction, and aftermarket suspension systems to maximize driving performance and arm the car as a racing machine so that it can quickly be set up to suit the rider's needs on each circuit, as well as using a variety of pre-prepared items such as wheel sets and disc sets for quick tire changes under time constraints, and for sunny and rainy weather, and are equipped with a data logger to collect driving data, in order to take on the "race" where every tenth of a second counts.
A race is a competition. It's as difficult as continually breaking your personal record in the 100m sprint and beating your rivals who are all in the right. If you get complacent or make excuses, it's just fodder for your rivals. It's easy to say you won't give up, but when I think about the machines of my rivals all over the world improving while I'm sleeping, I'm so scared. It's because we're serious that there are fans who look forward to watching us. It makes me really happy and encourages me.
